Contract limit (mini/micro)

When a limit says "6 contracts," is that mini or micro futures? Almost always 1 mini = 10 micro

Position-size limits are quoted in mini futures contracts, usually with the micro-futures equivalent in parentheses. In our data, firms consistently apply a 1 mini = 10 micro ratio — "4 Mini / 40 Micro," "6 Mini / 60 Micro," and so on. Traders who only trade micros (MES, MNQ) can easily misread "max 6 contracts" as a hard ceiling of 6, when it actually means up to 60 on a micro-only account. If a table only shows the mini number, multiply by 10 to get the micro limit.
