Minimum payout

The smallest amount you're allowed to request per withdrawal — a different number from the cap or the buffer

The smallest amount a firm lets you request per withdrawal. In our data, $500 is the most common figure, with some firms setting it lower ($250) or higher ($1,000), and a few using a percentage-based rule instead of a flat number (e.g., "request in 20% increments of your set limit"). Don't confuse this with the payout cap (the maximum per withdrawal) or the safety net (the buffer you need to build above starting balance to qualify at all) — the minimum payout is the smallest amount you can ask for, the cap is the largest.
